In fact, one’s Energy Level determines what one is attached to and what one takes to heart, which is not entirely controlled by willpower or reasoning. Therefore, Changing one’s Energy Level is the key to changing one's destiny.

Below is my teacher ZHANG, Cheng’s talk about the movie “Titanic”. He elaborated in class many years ago on how a person’s Energy Level affects his perspectives on the world.
ZHANG, Cheng said that the most touching episode in the movie was about Rose’s courage;
after she was rescued, though penniless and solitary, she still bravely refused her fiance’s second proposal.
She refused to be an unfree, caged bird in the upper class. She chose another unknown path to live on, and spent the rest of her life in the way she desired.
Director James Cameron did not capture many details of Rose’s second half of life.
From the pictures on the wall she gazed at in her old age, however,
it’s clear that she was no longer rich and powerful,
she enjoyed a financially substantial life though.
She had many wonderful life experiences, surrounded by the love of relatives and friends, which were something she couldn't have experienced if she continued to be a canary in the cage.
ZHANG, Cheng said at that time:
The love Jack gave her was of course the highlight in Rose’s life.
But if she had not moved forward, if she had not always learned to make breakthroughs when facing the challenges of life,
then the highlight would eventually be dimmed by hardships of life.
Or the highlight could become Rose’s escape from reality.
It’s just like a person walking on the path of spiritual practice;
if one is overwhelmed by an accidental small enlightenment or a strange, unnatural phenomenon, one’s progress will be hindered in the end.
Today, I carefully pondered what ZHANG, Cheng wanted to pass on to us, and I felt A Steady & Firm Energy Level.
As it turns out, the greatest romance in life is not about the fact that “You redeem me; I redeem you”,
but a person, willing to face his heart sincerely, develops an ideal vision based on this heart and fills the gap between reality and ideals
in a down-to-earth manner.
That is to say, adjust yourself if you should; learn seriously if you should.
It takes these bits and pieces to gradually build a life without regrets.
Why is ZHANG, Cheng especially interested in this part?
Because this is how he walks on his own life path.
When you are also a person at this energy level, you will naturally notice and focus on this part in the movie.
(Otherwise, you will forget it after watching the movie without any special feeling.)
The reason why I can interpret this feeling more refined today is that My Energy Level has indeed changed to match it.
But many years ago when I was not at such an energy level, I could not see these angles, and there’s no way to touch my heart.
In other words, what ZHANG, Cheng’s words meant to me at that time, it’s a bit like:
I heard it, but it was not something my energy level would hook back then.
So it’s like, “Da-yu, in order to control water, passed by his home three times but never entered.”
In fact, people tend to unconsciously and “selectively” miss out on the obviously priceless,valuable wisdom.
This is why ZHANG, Cheng often tells us, to learn wisdom is to change body constitution, which can not be achieved in a hurry.
Instead, it should be gently and gradually transformed through “ENERGY Immersion”.
(ex. Your constant presence in ZHANG, Cheng’s class is to immerse yourself in good energy.)
